MP3 encoding happens on your device. The source URL is sent to our API and FastSaver to locate the media, and your browser retrieves that media. Your media is not uploaded to igkeeper for conversion.
Convert Instagram video to MP3
The output is an actual MP3 encoded at 128 kbps. A source video must contain an audio track. Local conversion currently accepts up to 50 MiB and five minutes, with a three-minute processing limit; device memory may impose a lower limit.

Frequently asked questions
Can I extract audio from a silent video or a photo?
No. MP3 extraction needs a video with an audio track. If no audio is present, conversion stops with an explanation.
Are my files converted on your server?
MP3 conversion and ZIP creation happen in your browser. If direct downloading fails, an enabled download relay can stream the selected source file through igkeeper without storing it. This does not upload your local files or move conversion to the server.
Can I download content from private accounts?
No. igkeeper accepts links to public posts and Reels. Never enter an Instagram password, login cookie, or account token.
Where will my downloaded file go?
Your browser controls saving. Look in Downloads or Files. On iPhone, you may need to open the file and use Share to save it to Photos. Starting a download does not mean it has been saved to your camera roll.
Why does a public link sometimes fail?
A post may have been removed, its media link may have expired, or the download service may be temporarily unavailable. Resolve the original post link again. Some media hosts also restrict browser access.
Do I need permission to download a post?
Only download content you own or have permission to use. A public post is not a grant of permission to reuse it. igkeeper is independent of Instagram and Meta.
