Links and media

When you request a download, your public Instagram link is sent to the igkeeper API and FastSaver to locate the media. FastSaver processes that request under its own privacy policy. The media host receives your browser’s request when you preview or download a file. If direct downloading fails, an optional relay can stream the selected source file through the igkeeper API without saving it. This uses server bandwidth; MP3 encoding and ZIP creation still happen on your device.

MP3 encoding and ZIP creation happen in your browser. igkeeper does not receive uploaded media for conversion, or persist your media files. Browser memory and temporary object URLs are cleared when the operation is reset or the page is closed. Your browser may retain downloaded files and cached application assets.

Operational data

The API keeps short-lived request counters and a hashed network-address identifier for abuse protection in Cloudflare Durable Objects storage. Counters expire within one hour. When the relay is enabled, a bounded cache also holds source URLs and access tickets bound to that identifier. Tickets expire after five minutes of inactivity; an actively downloaded carousel can renew only its own batch, up to fifteen minutes from issue. Temporary transfer reservations expire within 125 seconds. Expired records are removed during scheduled cleanup, normally within one further minute. We do not store media files or maintain download histories in this storage. Hosting providers may process connection metadata and operational logs. We avoid logging submitted links, provider keys, and signed media URLs in application logs. No account system or payment system is included in this version.

Website analytics

On igkeeper.com, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and traffic sources. Google receives page and referring-page addresses without query strings or fragments, browser and device information, and identifiers used for analytics. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies to distinguish visits and derive approximate location from connection information. We do not send submitted Instagram links, captions, media files, signed download URLs, or access tickets to Google Analytics. Enhanced measurement, Google signals, and advertising personalization are disabled.
